About the organiser:

Trigal Magala Velasquez-Rodriguez. Growing up in native Colombia, a culturally unique and megadiverse country, led Trigal to discover her deep fascination for how biodiversity works. This interest made her become a marine scientist working on coral reef fish in the Colombian Caribbean.

In addition, she has supported the strengthening of local capacity in conservation in the Colombian Amazon. Trigal recently achieved an MPhil in Conservation Leadership from the University of Cambridge and launched herself into the climate change world to advocate for the role of biodiversity to face the climate crisis.
